What's up with Rexall at West Lodge Ave and Sears St?

I'm curious about the Rexall at West Lodge Ave and Sears St. I used to pop in there for everything from snacks to cold medicine. Has it closed down, or is it still open? Also, are there any decent apartments nearby? I'm considering moving to the area and would love to be close to a familiar spot.
