Elevator booking frustrations on moving day

Why do buildings make moving day so complicated? I can’t book the elevator until a week before, and I have to pay a move-in fee on top of that! Plus, good luck finding parking for the moving truck. It feels like they want to make this as hard as possible. Anyone else dealing with this nonsense?
