Shocked by Crazy Rent Price Disparity in Toronto!

I can't believe how much rent has skyrocketed! I'm seeing apartments that cost 30-50% more than what I'm currently paying. Why is rent $800 more for new tenants in the same building? This turnover rent spike makes no sense! It's infuriating to see old vs new tenant pricing disparities everywhere.
