Questions on Pet Deposits and Fees in Ontario

Is a pet deposit legal in Ontario? My landlord is asking for a pet fee, and I'm not sure what that means. Are there limits on what they can charge for having pets? I heard some say pet rent is different from a pet deposit. What should I know about this?
