Rents keep skyrocketing - how does anyone afford this city?!

Another rent increase, seriously?! How is anyone supposed to afford this? $2800 for a bachelor?! Just got outbid on my dream place AGAIN. I'm so sick of bidding wars—viewed 15 places and they were all gone in hours. This market is impossible!
