Concern over condo fees and special assessments for renters

I've been hearing a lot about special assessments lately and I'm worried about how it affects us renters. Do we end up covering these extra fees? It’s stressful to think about potential rent increases because of assessments. Is anyone else facing the possibility of leaving due to these rising costs?
