Confusion about deposit rules in Ontario: What to know?

I'm really confused about the first and last month rent deposits in Ontario. Can landlords ask for a damage deposit? I heard that's illegal, but what about the limits on first and last deposits? Also, how do I get my last month rent back if I move? Any help is appreciated!
