Is the move to Hamilton or Oshawa worth it for cheaper rent?

I'm recently graduated and considering moving to Hamilton or Oshawa to escape Toronto prices. Can anyone share their experiences with the GO train commute? Is it manageable with an entry-level salary? I'd love to know if saving on rent makes up for the time spent commuting.
