Worried about condo special assessment impact on renters

I'm really concerned about the special assessment affecting our building. Are renters like me responsible for paying this extra cost? I’ve heard that condo fees could go up, which might lead to a rent increase because of it. Should I start thinking about leaving due to this assessment?
