Looking for advice on January apartment hunts

Hey everyone, I’m planning to start my apartment search in January and I’m curious if it's a good time to find deals. I’m mostly looking in neighborhoods like Leslieville and Riverside. Is it true rents tend to drop after the holidays? I’m hoping to stay around $2000/month for a 1-bedroom. Any tips?
