Deciding between a condo and apartment in Downtown Toronto

Hey everyone, I'm planning to move to Toronto next month and I'm torn between renting a condo in the St. Lawrence Market area or an apartment in Kensington Market. I've heard condos can be more modern, but are the extra costs worth it? Any tips on rent prices? Thanks!
