Anyone struggle with TTC access in the suburbs?

I'm living in the Thornhill area and the lack of reliable TTC access is so frustrating. I’m spending way too much time waiting for the bus just to reach the subway station. It feels like being in the suburbs means sacrificing convenience. Any tips from those who are commuting from similar areas?
