Frustrated with Competitive Bidding for Subletting in Toronto

I can't believe how cutthroat the sublet market has become! I'm losing out to higher bids and it's driving me nuts. How are folks determining their offers? I feel lost on making a solid bid that won’t break the bank but still stands a chance. It's so stressful!
