Fed up with the Toronto rental nightmare! What gives?

Another rent increase, seriously? How is anyone supposed to afford this place? Landlord wants $2800 for a bachelor?! I viewed 15 places, all taken within hours, and I’m honestly at my wit's end. Just got outbid AGAIN! This market is impossible to navigate, and I'm so sick of it!
