What's up with rents in Parkdale these days?

I’ve been hearing mixed things about Parkdale lately. The vibe is artsy and fun, but the rental prices seem to be climbing more than I’d like. Anyone know if there are still affordable units hidden around? I love the community feel, but my budget is tight. What’s been your experience there?
