Is it normal for landlords to require this? Moving tips needed!

Hey everyone! I’m gearing up for a move in Toronto and my landlord just asked for a month’s rent as a security deposit on top of the first month. Is this typical? Also, any tips for finding reliable truck rentals or movers last minute? Thanks in advance!
