Need clarity on lease termination rules - any advice?

I'm trying to understand the process of ending a lease in Ontario. If my roommate and I agree to part ways, what's the proper procedure? Are we required to give a specific notice period, and what if my landlord has not provided official termination details? Any insights would be appreciated!
