Need help understanding my lease terms!

I just signed a lease for a place near a TTC subway line, but I'm unsure about a few terms. Specifically, can my landlord change the rental amount after my lease is signed? Also, what should I know about my rights regarding maintenance requests? I'd love to hear about your experiences!
