What's the vibe in Trinity Bellwoods right now?

Just moved to Trinity Bellwoods, and I'm loving the park vibe! Rentals seem a bit pricey for the area, but I hear the community is super vibrant. Anyone else living here? Are the local shops as great as they seem? Also, how's the safety vibe these days?
