Upstairs neighbor stomping around at all hours - what to do?

My upstairs neighbor seems to be practicing their tap dancing at all hours of the night. It's been particularly disruptive when I’m trying to study. I don’t want to confront them directly; what steps should I take to resolve this? Am I being unreasonable for wanting some peace at night?
