Elevator broke on moving day. Carrying boxes up 12 floors!

Worst moving day ever, need to share this! My landlord neglected to mention that the elevator was out of order, so my friends and I had to haul everything up 12 flights of stairs. By the end, we were exhausted and covered in sweat. Anyone else have similar horror stories? How did you cope?
