Apartment Space for Working from Home with Pets

I'm looking for a pet-friendly apartment in Toronto and wondering about the ideal space for WFH. Is a dedicated office necessary, or can a shared space work? Are studio apartments too small, or is 500 sqft enough? Any insights on areas accepting pets would be appreciated!
