Rent increases are out of control! Who can afford this?!

Another rent increase, seriously?! Just got hit with a $400 hike and I can’t stop fuming. Landlord expects $2800 for a bachelor?! How is anyone supposed to afford this ridiculousness? It's like they're in a competition to see how high they can push rents. I’m so over this!
