Stressed About Rent Eating My Income

I feel overwhelmed trying to manage my rent, which is nearly 50% of my income! The 30% rule seems totally unrealistic in Toronto. Can someone help me with the math? Is $2400 too much if I’m making $60k a year? I can't keep spending so much on rent!
