Are Green Certifications Worth the Hype? My Doubts

I've been looking into eco-certified buildings in Toronto, like LEED or WELL, but can these energy-efficient features really save money long-term? The marketing claims sound great, but how do we know these green premiums actually translate to real savings for low-income households?
