Worried About Condo Special Assessment Impacts on Renters

I've been hearing a lot about special assessments in my condo building, and it's got me anxious. Do renters end up paying these extra costs? I'm concerned about potential rent increases due to condo fees going up. Is anyone else considering leaving because of these assessments?
