Apartment hunting vent - exhausted by the endless search

Just need to vent real quick. I've been applying to places left and right, and every time I think I found a good one, it’s gone before I can even book a viewing. This market is ridiculous, and I'm seriously burnt out. Why is finding a place to live this exhausting?
