Looking for kid-friendly rentals in East York - any advice?

Hey everyone, my family and I are moving to Toronto and we’re looking for a place in East York. We need enough space for our two kids and are concerned about safety and school quality. What neighborhoods do you recommend? Is around $2900 a month reasonable for a three-bedroom? Thanks!
