Are these deposit demands even legal? Curious about my rights!

I’m downsizing to a condo and my potential landlord asked for a pet deposit and a key deposit, besides the usual first and last month's rent. Are these fees even allowed under Ontario law? It seems like they might just be trying to cash in on unsuspecting tenants like me.
