Landlord wants to convert unit to short-term rental - what are my options?

My landlord just informed us that they plan to convert our unit into a short-term rental for the tourist season, which starts in June. I signed a lease that goes until August 2026. Has anyone experienced this? What rights do I have, and how can I protect myself? Looking for any advice!
