Sick of this crazy rental market - it's driving me nuts!

Another rent increase, seriously? Just got outbid AGAIN on a place I loved. How is anyone supposed to afford this nonsense? Landlord wants $2800 for a bachelor?! I viewed 15 places this month, and somehow they're all gone within HOURS. This market is impossible!
