Any luck with winter move-in incentives in Toronto?

Hi everyone! I heard some landlords might offer free rent or other incentives this winter. I'm looking at places in the Leslieville area, around $2,300 for a 1-bedroom. Is this realistic, or just wishful thinking? Also, what's the best time to start looking? Thanks for your help!
