Struggling with $5000 upfront for rent - need help!

I'm in a tight spot and can't afford that first and last month's rent deposit. $4000-$5000 upfront is impossible on my budget! Are there any payment plans or programs to help with deposits? Any tips for saving even a little for alternatives would be appreciated!
