Horror Story: Movers Lost My Furniture on Moving Day!

Worst moving day ever! The moving company showed up 3 hours late, and to top it off, they lost my couch and several boxes of kitchen items. I had to chase them down for weeks just to get an update. Anyone else deal with a moving company nightmare? What did you do to resolve it?
