Why is finding a rental in Toronto such a nightmare?!

Another rent increase, seriously?! How is anyone supposed to afford this? I can't believe landlords think they can charge $2800 for a studio! Just got outbid again for the 10th time this month. This market is impossible to navigate. It's beyond frustrating!
