What space is ideal for WFH? Curious about dedicated offices!

I'm looking for a work from home apartment in Toronto and I'm unsure about the space requirements. Is a dedicated office necessary, or can I manage with a shared space? Would a studio be too small for my WFH needs? How much square footage should I aim for, like 500 sqft?
