Pre-construction condo rentals: Exciting yet worrying

I'm intrigued by the idea of renting a pre-construction condo close to the TTC subway lines for quick commuting. However, I'm concerned about potential construction delays and the risks associated with renting in a building that's not completed yet. Anyone have experiences to share?
