Help me decide: Midtown 1BR vs. East End 2BR - which is better?

I'm stuck between a cozy 1BR in Midtown for $2200 or a spacious 2BR in the East End for $2400. The Midtown place is closer to work, but the East End feels more vibrant and has better parks. I also want to keep my budget in check while considering future job changes. What's the better choice?
