This rental market is a nightmare! Am I the only one?!

I can’t believe this! Another rent increase, seriously? How is anyone supposed to afford this? Landlord wants $2800 for a bachelor?! Just got outbid AGAIN on a place I thought was perfect. This market is impossible, and I'm exhausted from competing in these stupid bidding wars.
