Apartment hunting vent - feeling defeated in this market

Just need to vent real quick. I've applied to so many places, and every time I think I found a gem, it gets snatched up before I can even schedule a viewing. The competition is insane, and I'm exhausted. It's like every listing disappears within minutes. I'm so done with this process.
