Upstairs neighbor keeps me up at night - need advice!

My upstairs neighbor has taken to practicing the drums late at night, and it's driving me crazy. It's hard to get a good night's sleep with all the noise. Am I being unreasonable for wanting to complain? What steps should I take to address this issue without causing a big conflict?
