Anyone else getting outbid constantly in Toronto?

Lost another place today. Someone outbid me by $300 over asking! This is getting ridiculous. I can't believe how competitive it’s become. How are people even affording to offer so much over? Feel like I'm playing a game with rules no one explained. Is this the new norm?
