Weather woes: Moved in during a February snowstorm!

Survived my move, barely! I thought February would be calm, but a surprise snowstorm hit the night before. We had to shovel out the moving truck, and I ended up slipping on ice while trying to balance boxes. Any tips for better winter moving days? I'm not ready to do that again!
