Sick of Landlords and Crazy Deposits - Is This a Joke?

I can’t take this anymore! The landlord wants $3500 upfront just to move into a tiny 1-bedroom! Why are deposits so high? And don’t even get me started on rent increases. A $400 jump this year for a shabby place! This is beyond frustrating. Who can afford this nonsense anymore?
