Exploring rentals in the Junction – what's everyone think?

I've been keeping an eye on the Junction lately, and wow, it's changing fast! Lots of new shops popping up, but I'm curious about the rental scene. Anyone have insights on credit checks here? I've heard they're getting stricter, which worries me. Any thoughts?
