Reality check - landlord wants to enter weekly for 'inspections'

My landlord has started insisting on entering my apartment every week for 'inspections' without any clear reason. I feel uncomfortable with this level of intrusion. Is this normal or legal? Should I be worried about how often they want to come in? Red flag or no?
