Natural month-to-month lease options in Toronto - need flexibility

I'm exploring 1-bedroom options in Toronto but don't want to commit to a long lease right now. I'm not sure how long I'll need the place, so month-to-month leases or landlords open to switching to monthly after a year would be ideal. Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated!
