Are all these deposit demands even legal?

My landlord is asking for a pet deposit, damage deposit, and even a key deposit—all in addition to first and last month's rent. I'm starting to wonder if this is all above board. Are these charges allowed legally? Does anyone know what the actual rules are here in Toronto?
