Talk me out of this - $2500 for a one-bedroom in February

I'm considering signing a lease for a one-bedroom apartment at $2500 in a decent neighborhood. Pros: it's close to work and has good amenities. Cons: it's above budget and I don’t love the area. I’m really torn between wanting my own space and my budget. Help me decide!
