Weird lease terms? Anyone else puzzled?

I just signed a lease that requires me to provide a list of all my guests and their contact info—like, what? Has anyone else encountered strange requests like this in Toronto? Also, any tips on dealing with weird landlord stipulations without rocking the boat would be appreciated!
